Velvet or Plush
Typically a dense, more opulent, and luxurious cut pile.

Frisee (or Frieze)
Twisted yarns that curl at the surface, producing a textured look.

Carved
Typically consists of different pile heights to emphasize design characteristics and add visual interest.
